Department of International Trade

Our department aims to provide students with necessary skills and knowledge to analyze global trade relations and markets. Our courses mainly teach norms and rules of international trade to guide students in mapping risks and opportunities. With the liberalization of the movement of goods, capital and labour, entrepreneurship in developing countries such as Turkey acquires a central place in terms of competition for Foreign Direct Investment economic development by increasing developing countries' need for competent and professional staff bearing the knowledge of international trade regime. Thus, our department is found to provide the needed staff for the international trade related sectors. Our program mainly relies on courses combining the knowledge of different disciplines such as economics, business administration, accounting and finance. It is designed to provide students with necessary theoretical as well as the practical background to analyze international trade regime. Hence, our graduates have the opportunity to work in both public and private sectors including trade chambers, customs and consulates. *Our department also provides students with the opportunity to have Minor and Double Degrees with any chosen faculty departments apart from the Department of Public Finance.
